Hey Everyone! I’m so excited to announce that I’m back in the studio working on my newest project….it’s so new I don’t even have a name for it yet! This year has been so amazing with my wife and I having our twins and now the beginning of a new project! I feel like this is going to be some of my best work to date. I have a pretty clear view of what songs will be on the record but you never know, things could change. People have been asking me if some of their favorite new songs will be on there so here are three songs that will definitely make the cut….are you ready….okay here we go : The Fight, January Snow and Hero. This collection of songs came from such intense stories and personal places and I really hope my conviction comes across in the recording…I think it will. I’m back working with John Carter (not the guy from the Disney movie). John recorded my last studio record “Beyond the Gray” and I’m thrilled to be working with him in his beautiful new facility, New Vine Media, just north of Ithaca, NY. We’re having some pretty amazing players on this thing too such as our first guy, Jeremy Hummel. Jeremy is the original drummer for the band Breaking Benjamin and he’s done a phenomenal job so far and I’m honored to have him playing on these tracks. So everyone’s been asking me to post some pics of my little ones Maxfield and Mira so here they are world!
Meridee and I are the happiest we’ve ever been and today we celebrate our four year anniversary with these two. They were born on April 22nd at 1:20am and 1:22am. As we were going through the birthing process we were wondering if they were going to be born on the 21st or 22nd and I thought it would have been cool if Max came out on the 21st and Mira waited till the 22nd but it didn’t end up that way! Max was 5.5lbs and Mira was 4.10lbs and tomorrow they will already be two months old and have both doubled their birth weight….they like to eat like daddy! Seriously I’m so excited to finally have a back up band. Max is my drummer and Mira will rock the bass. I can see it now. Thank you to all that were praying for us and these two through the whole process. They are definitely an answer to prayer! I thought I’d post a few more pics….ENJOY!

This is probably the biggest news I’ll ever get to share in my life….I’M GONNA BE A DAD! But the best part is there’s not just one baby but TWO…We’re having TWINS! But wait there’s more….it’s a BOY and a GIRL!!!! I’m gonna use so many exclamation marks to show how excited I am!!!!!!!! This April/May we will be bringing home little Maxfield Joseph Campbell and Mira Grace Campbell and Meridee and I could not be more excited! This is truly a double portion from our great God and Father. The bible says in Pslam 37:4 “Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the DESIRES of your heart” (I added the caps and expression). We truly delight in Him day after day and this is such an awesome answer to prayer. Now for the story…
Meridee and I got married in June of 2008 and shortly after our wedding we took a walk and started praying for our future children and I kid you not, I said “God, we just want to thank you for our twins!” My wife hit me and said “What are you talking about! We’re not having twins!” but something in me knew. You can ask all my close friends. I called that we were gonna have twins all along. It was quite the journey to get here but it was so worth the wait.
So after we found out we were having twins Meridee would always ask me what I thought they were and to be honest, I had no clue. I used to tell her I didn’t know but I would be happy either way. Then one day I was out for a prayer walk and was praying for the twins and said “God, if they are two boys, I’m gonna love them like crazy. If they are two girls, I’ll love them like crazy. If they’re a boy and a girl…” and as soon as that came out of my mouth I felt like I just knew at that moment. I called Meridee and said “You know how you always ask me what I think we’re having? Well I think we’re having a boy and girl.” She was excited but we waited until her birthday, December 7th, to find out. So before her birthday I went and bought her two Pandora charms. One was a charm of a little boy and one was a little girl. I was that confident. I told the lady at the Pandora store how we were finding out the next day and she said “What if you’re wrong?” I said “I guess I’m gonna have to do an exchange!” But we went in for the ultrasound and low and behold there they were….little Max and Mira! So the fact that I called having twins and that it was going to be a boy and girl ahead of time made some of my friends asking me to tell them their future…it doesn’t work that way.

These two will change our lives forever and I’m so excited to meet them (in fact, I wrote a song about it and you can find it here). I’ll be posting updates as they come and I really apologize for not posting this sooner on my site. Hello all my friends and neighbors! JC here with some updates for y’all. First things first….thank God the sun is shining!!! Well, sort of. If you live in Binghamton it doesn’t shine all that much. But none the less it’s warmer. It’s crazy how weather really effects people’s moods. I saw a parking meter cop actually skipping from meter to meter the other day…awkward.
In other important news….new tunes are on the way. I have been writing more than any other period of my life over the past year and I’m extremely excited to release some of this new material. I’m notorious for predicting release dates and completely botching up the plan so I will not make any predictions for when this stuff will be released but I can promise it’s coming.
I just put an insane studio in my house where I’ll be doing all my vocal and guitar tracks from now on and I’m so excited about the “homey” feel it’s going to have. Where else can you record a track and run downstairs for a Hot Pocket?!!! It’s gonna be great. A lot of the recording of my vocals and guitar will be in house while utilizing the amazing skills of some other great studios to really make it shine or…sing. Some of the tracks going into production are “The Fight”, “January Snow”, “Amazing Grace” and many more.
I wanted to fill everyone in on another great adventure I’ve recently been involved in. My wife and I have been living in Binghamton but traveling to Syracuse for the past five years to go to this amazing church called Abundant Life www.alcclife.org. We know that God placed us there for a reason but we also knew that He needed us in Binghamton for a reason so we remained faithful and at the end of 2010 it all became clear what His plan was. Assistant Pastors of Abundant Life, Joe and Dawn Coudreit, have felt it in their hearts for years to start a church in the greater Binghamton area and so on Easter Sunday 2011 they planted a new church in Binghamton called Southern Tier Family Life Church or STFLC for those who run out of breath! My wife Meridee and I have been extremely excited about this new church and we dove right in to help out. Meridee has helped to lead up the hospitality ministry and I’ve stepped behind the guitar to lead the church in worship with my good friend Nick Wan. God has been doing some powerful things already through this church and I know He will continue to. We’ve already begun to give back to some local charities in town and look forward to making a positive impact on our community. And last but not least, I have a new promo video coming out for the Blue Project which I think you’ll all really enjoy. It’s completely from the perspective of the students and staff who see the show. The Blue Project has been rocking this year and I’m looking forward to finishing out the year with a bang!

Hey Everyone! JC here with an update on what’s been going on in my neck of the woods. Well…things have been going GREAT! I’ve been writing so much more these days than I have in the past few years and the new material has been going over really well at my shows and have actually been crowd favorites. This has been a great feeling for me because I really want my songs to leave an impact on people’s lives and I feel like that is happening based on the responses I’m getting from all of you. Some new songs include “The Fight”, “January Snow” and a brand new song “Change the World”. You can check out a few video’s of the new stuff by clicking here. These songs have come out of some really amazing stories from people I have met over the past few years and their stories are life changers!
In other news, I recently put an amazing recording studio in my house and I’m so excited to start pumping this stuff out for y’all to hear. It may take me a little bit to wrap my hands around everything but this is a great step forward for me in that I don’t have to wait around to save up to fund a record or wait on other studios to work out of.
People have been asking me over and over again about when my Christian CD will be released and I believe it is coming soon! I’ve been writing some really deep songs about my faith and all that God has been doing and these songs come from a real personal place in my life. I’ve told myself that I want to write about 20-30 songs before committing to the ones that will make the record. I plan on posting videos of some of these new songs on YouTube as well so if you haven’t subscribed to my YouTube page make sure you do by clicking here. I’ve been playing a lot of these songs at various churches that I’ve been to over the past few months and will be showcasing them at churches in the future as well so check my tour dates to find out when you can come check them out. I have really been wanting to play more and more churches and share these songs that God has put on my heart so definitely get in touch with me about that.
I’m also asked quite a bit where I have been because people have not seen many shows on the tour page or heard of any performances and there’s a reason for that. Most of my shows these days have been in high school auditoriums or middle school gymnasiums or shoot….even some cafeterias from time to time! My school program, The Blue Project, has been growing immensely and to be honest, that’s where most of my playing has gone to. I spend my weeks performing for literally thousands of students constantly and it has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Since these shows are private for the students only, they haven’t been posted on my tour page but that’s all about to change so people can keep track of all my travels. I’ve been working diligently on this program to try and make it the most powerful and humorous presentation students will see during their years in high school and middle school. We’re shooting a new promo video for the program which will be up on The Blue Project website in the months to come so stay tuned for that.
