Greetings everyone and HAPPY SUMMER!!!!!!!! It’s here baby!
First I’d like to apologize for not getting a newsletter out to y’all in months. It’s just that I really only want to fill up your inbox with stuff worth reading. There’s enough time to read my status updates on facebook or follow me on twitter to hear about what color socks I’m wearing today. In my opinion, everyone’s getting into everyone’s business a little too easy now-a-days with all this status update shtuff…but I digress.
So first things first…I have some really cool stuff coming up this summer in the way of shows.
With the help of the folks at Terra Cotta in downtown Binghamton, I’ve put together an awesome show coming up on July 9th at Terra Cotta which will feature five new acts out of the Binghamton area. This show came about by the people at Terra Cotta approaching me about doing another solo show there but I said to them “what if we could get some young people up on stage and give them the chance to perform for a packed house and start a fan base of their own” and they loved the idea so we found five high school students from five different schools to come out and perform a few tunes. Please come out and support these young people…you’re gonna love it!!!
Here are the details:
Location: Terra Cotta. 81 State St. Binghamton, NY
Date: July 9th
Time: 7pm
Tickets: $6 in advance or $10 at the door. Order by calling 607-348-0518
Special Guests include: Andrew Simek, Amber Martin, Tessa Dzuba, Katie Kreidler, and Jillian Strauss.

In other exciting news…my live CD “Live at Funk ‘N Waffles” will be released within the next month!!! I can’t wait. If you like “Live at the Waterfront” or “Anderson and I” you’re gonna flip over this CD. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to release this. It’s just that there’s 8 different cover songs on the CD so I’ve had to get the licensing to use these songs and it gets pretty pricey to do so.
So I’ve come up with a killer promotion for all you Jared Campbell freaks out there! Soon you’ll be able to pre order the CD through my website but for now we’re offering an unbelievable deal to those of you who like to give out gifts to your friends and family. So here it is…are you ready…for a pre payment of $100 you will receive 15 copies of “Live at Funk ‘N Waffles” to hand out to anyone you can think of…friends, family, old women you help accross the street…list the list goes on!
That comes out to a little over $6 a CD…WALMART DOESN’T EVEN BEAT THOSE PRICES! So if you’re itchin’ to get your friends or family to become Jared Campbell groupies just like you…now’s your chance. Simply send a paypal payment to the address jaredsgigs@yahoo.com and include your shipping address (did I mention free shipping!) and you’ll receive the CD’s as soon as they’re off the press.

Well the start of 2010 has been a great one! I had a little time off in the month of January which was extremely nice and definitely needed and I feel refreshed and ready to roll and rock….in that order. At the start of every year my dad always says “Jare, I think this year is gonna be a good one for you!” and you know what….he’s always right. Honestly looking back over the past handful of years doing this I can truly say that I appreciate every minute of it and every year was a good one. I’m definitely excited to see what’s gonna roll around in this coming year.
I can start by letting you know that the Blue Project is taking off! It’s such a huge part of who I am and it’s just getting bigger and bigger. Over the fall I was able to perform for over 20,000 students and share my passion for music and just how it can affect people and I heard some of the most amazing stories from young people of their hopes for the future and the struggles they’ve endured. As the Blue Project has been growing more people have been taking notice and there are some big things ahead for this program so make sure you stick around and don’t miss a minute of it!
I get this question a lot “Hey Jared, when can we get a copy of the Funk N’ Waffles show you recorded last year?” …well I’m happy to announce that it will be out in the next month. As we first release this gem of a recording it will be available on a download card. These cards are also referred to as drop cards (www.dropcards.com). It works just like a gift card you would get at Target or some other store. On the front of the card you’ll notice some nifty artwork and on the back there is a website and a code. You simply go to the website, punch in the code and BAMMM you get to download the whole thing right there! It’s pretty cool and I think I’m going to be making drop cards for all my older CD’s as well like “Where it all Begins”, Waterfront”, “Rest Out” and “Anderson and I”. I’ll be announcing it’s release on my mailing list so if you’re not on it, make sure you sign up here on the home page of my site. I’ll also be posting on facebook and twitter so if you’re not my friend or you don’t follow me….WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU!
Well I hope 2010 is truckin’ along nicely for you as well. I look forward to seeing you all throughout the course of this year. God bless!

Hey everyone, just wanted to wish you a huge HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! I can’t wait for Christmas! I’ve been posting and tweeting about Charlie Brown’s Christmas for the past few weeks and I seriously cannot get enough of it. My wife keeps filling the candy jar with Hershey Kisses and peanut butter cups so I’m packin’ on the added warmth for the winter. The tree is up and snow is on the ground and LIFE IS GOOD!
I’ve been on the road soooo much over the past few months and I have a much needed rest coming up through the rest of December and into January. I’ve had an amazing time performing at your colleges, universities, high schools and middle schools. I’ve met so many amazing people and got to hear so many awesome stories that I feel my life is so much better off from it. Over the past few months I’ve been to Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Massachusetts, Connecticut, North Carolina and who can forget NEW YORK Baby!!! You’ve all treated me so kind so thank you for your hospitality.
Well I’ve got some cool things ahead in the new year including a live broadcast of a performance I’ll be doing in my home town on January 7th for PBS. Show starts at 8pm so make sure you tune in if you’re in the Southern Tier. I will also be performing once again for First Night in downtown Binghamton on New Years Eve at Christ Episcopal Church right across from Lost Dog Cafe. I have a performance at 9 and then another at 10 so I’ll see you there!
Many people have been asking how things with the Blue Project are going and I can’t explain how amazing things have been. This program is growing and growing and thousands of teenagers and young people are getting reached with powerful messages of hope and perseverance. I’ve literally performed for over fifteen thousand students this fall through the program and the new year is bringing in more and more schools so I’m so thankful for that. You should hear the amazing stories from students of how they’re giving up attempts at suicide, finding their self worth, ending their habits of bullying and finding a better outlook on life…it’s amazing!!! If you want more info on the program please email info@jcblueproject.com.
And last but not least….WE GOT A NEW PUPPY!!! Many of you know our first dog Tucker and his trusted side kick Vox the cat…so now Tucker has a girlfriend…Ladies and Gentlemen please say hello to the beautiful Bayla!!! She’s a pooper and a biter but we love her…Tucker does too…Vox, not so much but he’s getting there.

She's a biter and chewer for sure!

They're in love!
So I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and Happy Holidays! Make sure you follow me on Twitter and be a fan on facebook by going to www.facebook.com/jaredcampbellfans. Stay well and be happy!
